Principal Osteopath –
Izzie Brooks M. Ost
Izzie is a registered Osteopath who has enjoyed helping a wide range of diverse people with a variety of complaints return to good function and activity after an episode of pain or injury.
Izzie works part time for Physio Solutions and in her private practise using evidence-based rehabilitation, including strength and conditioning complimented by traditional Osteopathic techniques, hands-on soft tissue techniques, spinal manipulation and western medical acupuncture. Each of Izzie’s patients receives a unique treatment plan based around individualised goal setting, be it from getting back to gardening to playing professional tennis.
In addition to graduating from the British School of Osteopathy with a Master’s degree Izzie is qualified as a Gym instructor, has a specialised qualification in Exercising for the Elderly, an ITEC Sports Massage diploma, a diploma in Western Medical Acupuncture and Strength and Conditioning and recently completed post-natal course ‘The Mummy MOT’.
Prior to becoming an Osteopath Izzie had a successful career travelling the world as a sports and travel journalist working for Sky Sports, BBC, the Guardian and Microsoft. Izzie has continued to keep her hand in locally reporting from a variety of events for BBC Radio for the past 7 years, including hosting a sports injury clinic for BBC Radio discussing the management and treatment of popular conditions with patients, physiotherapists and osteopaths.
